Bye !

Haven't been writing for the longest time.
One of the reasons, a usual suspect: busy. I am quite busy at the moment with work, work and family.

But I have to call an end, to this little blog. Thanks for your support, writing feedback and pushing me to continue blogging.

Don't worry though, I have not stopped commuting by Brompton.

Come back

My Brompton is coming back, back to commuting.

Having try to commute during the road work-in-progress, my Brompton need to go through two roundabouts. Normally, that is fine. But both roundabouts have exit to 80 kph road so the vehicles, truck , minivan especially, are pretty fast. I am OK if not share the road with them. So I decided to wait.

Then one day ..

Thanks to the "Bob the builder", I thought this should be a half-a-year work, this phase is done in a month!

Haven't worked for a while. After a hard day, my Brompton is sweating.
"Why not taking a cab? There is one next to us!"

Lunch bike

I go out with Brompton, taking the usual route, shuttle - train - Brompton. Mission of today is to try new route. As my last post mentioned, the road I ride has been blocked for 100 days maintenance work

When I unfold my Brompton outside the train station. Raining heavily again, I decide not to ride and bring my Brompton to take a bus. As said, 'there is no bad weather, just unsuitable clothing', I don't have any outfit for this situation today and I don't want to ride like that along a new adventurous ready-to-discover route.

Instead, I will ride my lunch bike...
Yeah, I have another bike, parking at an outdoor. And it is for riding at lunch time.

I will ride this bike during lunch time to explore the area to find new route before I commute at morning rush hour.

no more cycling?

I have not cycling for last few days. Busy? Yeah, this is always the reason, or excuse.
There is something new too. You see the road I ride every day:
There is something big to work. I have checked it out, this will take 100 days!

Is this the end of my days of bicycle diary?

I hope not. I need to take up more road riding with all the buses, trucks, etc. There are some roundabouts, which I need to push my bike too.
Next week, I will explore the areas more, discover new routes. This is part of the adventure. But, of course, safety first.

Pedal with one hand

It is not long ago, when I was learning to pedal with one hand grip (click here). I am always amazed with one of my favourite blog: Naturally Cycling : Manchester. Its blogger,  LC puts a picture like this in the header of the blog.
This may be natural to you all. But for a man learned to cycling at 40+, and not particular athletic, it is hard.
I try and I try. I try and I try.
And ...

I did it, not as good as LC though. From her picture shown, it is much faster and showing more about what she put on for cycling. That is her message: dress for destination.

Anyway, the feeling is great. I can do this on the 200th day of commuting with Brompton.

200 days.

wine and bicycle

Whenever anything related to bicycle will catch your attention, do you have the same feeling?

I saw this the other day in supermarket. How would a bottle of wine relate to bicycle? Cycling the countryside and picnic with this wine?
